Thanks for visiting Destination America. We are a web-based, travel magazine, aimed at providing readers with experienced, first-hand accounts of North America’s most exciting and unique places to visit.

Geared towards the budget traveler, our mission is to inform readers of outdoor/adventure opportunities, the arts, culture, and local flavor of the areas we visit.

Started in 2009, Destination America is owned and operated by Gabriel and Leslie Fisher dba BlackFish Media. With backgrounds in design and journalism, respectively, we packed up an RV and hit the road with our dog, Sandy, to seek out and write about the great places America has to offer.
